The second Latvian language seminar takes place Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Camp Sidrabene! Register by clicking here.
All are welcome!

This seminar is for adults who want to learn or improve their Latvian, from total beginners to advanced learners.
Participants will be able to choose which sessions to attend based on their language level and interests. Topics range from phonetics (how to read and pronounce Latvian letters) to expanding your vocabulary through popular folk songs, to tips and tricks on how to self-teach a language, to grammar. A detailed program will follow.
To register and secure your spot, please e-transfer your registration fee of $40-$60+ to lnak@lnak.org. Please pay as you are able in order to help support the program. Registration includes the June 14 seminar, morning coffee, lunch and dinner. Registration will close on Thursday, June 12.
Activities and workshops will be offered by facilitators Ērika Yost, Līva Zemīte, and Zane Kaņeps, as well as experienced Latvian language teacher Anda Libere.
Anda has been teaching Latvian since the 1970s, teaching at the University of Western Michigan, U of T in Toronto, the Latvian High School in Münster and several 2×2 camps. We are so fortunate that she will be joining us to address the needs of adult learners at all levels.
Thank-you to the LNAK Education section headed by Agra Vāgnere for financial support of the seminars.
