Riga recognized as most dynamically developing city in Central Europe in the sector of business service centres
The Riga-based business satellite center of biotechnology company Roche (Roche Services & Solutions EMEA Latvia), which last year chose Riga as its home office, has won the award of the Most Promising New Entrant.

The award is an encouragement to continue the work of developing Riga as a leading business and investment centre,”

Riga-based business centre SEB Global Services supports SEB group companies using innovative automation processes and has been recognized as the Top AI and process Automation Implementation. Information technologies company Cognizant Latvia has won the Top Employer Branding Initiative award. MSC, a Mediterranean shipping company business centre, won the award as the Most Vibrant Employer.
A jury of experts representing countries such as Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, and others, assessed the Latvian capital’s achievements in the sector of international business services centres. Riga won the awards thanks to its active work in attracting investments and improving the business environment.
Latvia’s global business services sector is seeing rapid growth, with Riga becoming the new centre of this sector in Europe. The capital city offers competitive conditions and a favourable business environment for new investors and has attracted 54 business service centres that currently employ about 18,200 people or provide 340 full-time jobs in one company on average. The main specialization areas in the global business services sector are IT, finances, customer service, logistics, human resources, and procurement.
