Funding available for diaspora archives projects; apply by June 17

The total funding available for diaspora organizations is 7 718 EURO
– Funds will be available: after 10 July 2025
– Reporting deadline: 28 February 2026
– Contracts will be signed with PBLA (World Federation of Free Latvians); reports must be submitted to both PBLA and the Ministry of Culture

Priorities of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia for diaspora archive projects:
– to support Diaspora archive holders in practical matters relating to the handling and preservation of archival material;
– to populate a single digital tool for preserving diaspora archive material to make it accessible and usable by the wider public.(https://arhivi.pbla.lv/)

Application procedure:
– Diaspora organizations can apply (Funding will not be transferred to an individual’s bank account).
– The application must be submitted by: 2025. 17 June 2011 by sending an e-mail to: pbla-latvija@pbla.lv

The project application form (not required to be signed electronically or by hand, but only digitally on the form).

Detailed estimates (in EURO currency, only the expenses for which you are requesting funding from the Ministry of Culture should be included in the estimate).
