Black Ribbon Day Commemorations

We invite you to commemorate Black Ribbon Day, which marks the anniversary of the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, the secret agreement between the USSR and Germany to carve up central and northern Europe. This year also marks the 35th anniversary of the Baltic Way, when the people of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania joined hands across all three occupied countries demanding the restoration of their freedom.
In Toronto, the commemoration takes place on Thursday, August 22 7 pm at Nathan Phillips Square. Please arrive at 6:30 p.m.
Please bring your flags.
In Vancouver, Latvians, Estonians and Lithuanians will mark the 35th Anniversary of the Baltic Way on Saturday, August 24, at 4 p.m. at the Estonian Church Foundation Hall. Details: Baltic Way Event in Vancouver
