John J\u0101nis \u0160teins is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Dawson City, Yukon on the traditional territory of the Tr\u2019ond\u00ebk Hw\u00ebch\u2019in First Nations. He was born in 1949 in Hamilton, Ontario to Latvian parents who arrived in Canada after the war. His art practice is centred mostly on printmaking, photography, music as well as woodworking.<\/p>\n
