PAPS – “Helping people to return to their homesteads” <\/h3>\n\n

There is a network of five regional remigration coordinators in Latvia (Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale and Riga), established by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (MoEPRD) within the framework of the remigration project “Regional Remigration Coordinator”.<\/p>\n\n

Everyone can get free advice from the Regional Coordinator<\/a> on issues related to returning to Latvia. Taking into account individual needs and circumstances, coordinators help to answer a wide range of questions, if necessary in cooperation with local and national authorities, thus preparing personalized information about returning to a specific region of Latvia.<\/p>\n\n

With World Experience Latvia is the first and leading organisation for remigrants in Latvia.<\/p>\n\n

The founders established the association in 2017. In 2010, we launched the European Year of the World as a platform for people from different backgrounds to come together and work on common projects that speak and connect. All members are people who have lived outside Latvia for some part of their lives. A growing network of remigrants is now in place, with the intention of fostering a culture of cooperation and exchange of ideas. The aim is also to strengthen links with people who live outside Latvia but are thinking of returning home.<\/p>\n\n

Every month, inspiring story evenings are held in a Riga pub, where several speakers share both their experiences of the world and their insights on returning home.<\/p>\n\n
