Once again, the Latvian National Federation in Canada Educational and Cultural Foundation (LNFC ECF) is requesting that you continue our “Draudz\u012bgais aicin\u0101jums” or Friendly Request to support the Latvian Educational and Cultural Foundation, whose mandate is to ensure the continuation of the Latvian community in Canada. Last year, ECF supported all the Latvian schools in Canada, distributing ten summer scholarships (Sveika, Latvija, GVV, Kursa, T\u0113rvete), five fall university scholarships, one sports scholarship, as well as supporting various cultural activities in Montreal, Hamilton, Vancouver and Toronto. By donating to the ECF, you not only support the Latvian community, but you also gain by lowering your taxes since the ECF is a not-for-profit charitable organization.
