The second LETTS JUMP INTO LATVIAN Latvian language workshop will take place on Saturday, 14 June 2025 from 9:30 to 18:00 at Sidrabene (5100 Appleby Line, Burlington, Ontario). The seminar is intended for adults who want to learn or improve their Latvian, from beginners to proficient speakers.<\/p>\n

Participants will be able to choose which activities to take part in based on their language level and interests. From phonics and pronunciation exercises to vocabulary expansion through popular folk songs, as well as tips on self-learning and grammar improvement, the workshop will be tailored to the language levels of the registered participants. A more detailed description of the programme will follow.<\/p>\n

To register and secure your place, please send the registration fee starting from $40 by e-transfer to lnak@lnak.org. Please pay what you can to help support this programme. Your registration includes the seminar on June 14, morning coffee, lunch and dinner. Registration will close on Monday, June 9. <\/p>\n

Activities and training will be led by: \u0112rika Yost, L\u012bva Zem\u012bte, and Zane Ka\u0146epa, as well as the experienced and popular Latvian language teacher Anda Libere. Anda has taught Latvian since the 1970s at the University of Western Michigan Latvian Language Program, Toronto U of T evening courses, M\u00fcnster Latvian Gymnasium, several 2\u00d72 camps and Toronto Latvian schools.<\/p>\n
