The Latvian Relief Society of Canada <\/b>\u201cDaugavas Vanagi\u201d (DV<\/b>), was established in 1945, and subsequently incorporated in Canada as a registered charity in 1953.\u00a0 Since its establishment the organization’s main goal was, and remains, the financial and moral support of Latvian veterans and their families.\u00a0 We also support Latvians in Canada and Latvia through sponsorship of Latvian schools, summer camps, choirs, folk dance groups and other cultural and educational programs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
